We had a crazy weekend around here. First thing my router stopped working correctly and I was not able to do anything online at all. We had a garage sale Friday and Saturday beautiful weather for it but boy did I get fried! I looked like a lobster. I even used 50 spf on Saturday and still got burned a little bit. Didn't sell much and ended up donating most of the stuff to Goodwill. Oh well that the way it goes. I had an extra kid over the weekend since my sister had to work. The kids love having her around and she definitely takes after her mother. I had her all weekend and now the kids are asking when Tiffy is coming back. I might be watching her again over the next weekend but it depends on if my mom is going to take her up north for the weekend.
We went looking for a new grill on Sunday as the birds were making a home out of old one. They even laid eggs in it. Well that one is gone and of course the one I want is on sale but they don't have any in stock yet. Just my luck. Oh well I just have to keep checking. Going to have to get busy today as my house looks like a tornado hit it. I am hoping to get a lot done as David has next week off unpaid and would like to finish my bathrooms. Hope I can get them done over the week or it could be a whole nother year before I can get to them.
Patrick stayed home from school on Monday as he had an allergic reaction to the sunscreen I put on him on Saturday. He looked like a red chipmunk with all of the hives he had on his face. Poor little guy. At least I got the Benadryl in him and he is feeling much better and he can go to school today.

The crazy blanket is DONE!
The crazy blanket is done and now I can get started on the laundry that I didn't do yesterday. I made potatoe soup and used the cheese pack from mac and cheese to make it cheesy for the kids. Two out of three loved it and the third well he doesn't like much anyway. Now I can do one of two things during the garage sale tomorrow. I can either use the rest of this yarn and make scarfs to give away to the homeless or finish the other mitten of the thrummed mittens I already started. Um I will have to wait and see what the kids say I should do. They like to have input in the things I do. Let you know tomorrow what it is they decide.

Amost done with bright blanket
I am almost done with the crocheted monster that my middle son wanted. I made a granny squared pastel for my first son and my middle son has been bugging me for one like it. I tried to take him yarn shopping to pick out colors that he might like and the only thing he would tell me is that he wanted a squares blanket ever time I tried to ask what color he wanted. So I got primary colors and it is making my eyes buggy. When you put them together it makes them stand out a lot more so far. The orange almost seems like hunter orange instead of regular orange. I can't wait to be done with it. I put it up for a month because I couldn't handle the eye strain anymore. I know Anthony can't wait to see it when it's finished. I will have to try to post a picture of him with it. I have a lot to do as we are having a garage sale this weekend. I hope it don't rain. I am going to try to get this blanket finished before Friday so I can finish a pair of thrummed mitten I started. I have one done but it is a little long I think I might shorted it by a round in the thumb and on the end. That way I will have something to do while waiting for customers and while trying to keep my kids out of trouble. Good luck to me I might be better off with knitting a dish cloth of Friday instead.

1st time blogger first posting!
I hope that this is going to go work for me. I guess I will have to wait and see. I know that one of my favorite blogs to read is yarnharlot. I didn't know about her until I got involved with knitting about 5 years ago when I quit smoking. I gave up one addiction for another, but at least I can personalize things for people. Now I am hooked. My poor husband doesn't know what to do about me. My poor boys who are 5 1/2, almost 4 and a daughter just over 2 think nothing that mom has yarn everwhere. They want to be cool like their mom and want to learn to knit. My husband says boys don't knit and I let him know about the famous men out there that knit and let him know that it is good for hand eye cordination and that they might like to see something made from almost nothing (execpt from two sticks and some string). They are actually arguing to see who I am going to try to teach first. Wait till they get bigger and realize that mom's aren't supose to be cool.
