Hello again!

Yeah I actually got some things done today. I am going to feel it tonight that is for sure. I did dishes, laundry, cleaned the bathroom, made dinner and picked up some things. My foot is killing me. I am going to have to sit for a bit and knit it catch it up.

I am working work on Vickie's surprise for a little tomorrow before knit night. I am hoping to have it done sometime next week. We will see how it goes. I have lots of thing to do right now. I have Karyn's malabrigo socks, Vickie's surprise, my Hey Teach, my mom's Fire and Ice, Karyn's Tofutsies, and a Montego Bay scarf. I am going to have to get cracking on these things. I am falling behind and I still have to get started on Christmas stuff soon. I would rather get it done now than be working on it Christmas Eve.

I am now babysitting Tiffany. I hope it all goes well. The kids will be going off to school before I know it. They start Sept.8 and I will only have Barbara at home. I am hoping to get Anthony in AM Kindergarten since Tiffany will be going in the AM and I am supposed to babysit her. We will see you never know my mom might end up watching her again.

Bad blogger

I am a bad bad blogger. I should be beaten with a wet noodle.

Here I read others blogs and I never update my own.

I am going to make a promise to myself. I am going to do better. I am going to try to update at least once a week. ( Hopefully more often. But at least once a week.) I am going to add picture of my projects and maybe even update on the loved ones. So here I go.

I have a mess. A huge mess. I decided not to hang a hank of sock yarn on my end table to start winding from it. I thought that I could just lay it in my lap and start winding a ball. Big mistake. Huge mistake and I am now paying for it. I have been untangling the mess I created for 6 hours and I am still not done. I am only about 3/4 of the way done. I could kick myself I knew better. Oh well at least it is giving me time to think about my Hey Teach I made a mistake on too. It is sitting in time out as I am going to have to rip out 24 row of stitching. Ugggg! (Slamming head against the desk.)

Long weekend

The kids are going back to school today after having 4 days off for the long weekend. Only 8 more school days to go them they will be home all summer. I am trying to get a lot of the housework done so we can spend a lot of time outside rather than spending a lot inside cleaning. It is getting warm out already but I am holding out putting in the air conditioner until I can't stand it anymore.

I got Babara's pink and white sweater done finally. I started it last fall and didn't need to do that much to it but tink back the arms and fix the neck. Here is she is trying it on. I know it is a little big but that means that it will fit her for a little while before she grows out of it.

Now I can start on the no purl monkey socks for Karyn. I love the yarn and can't wait to work on them I hope they go as fast as and the Fawkes I did.

Surviving Easter

Yes we survives Easter! My kids had lots of fun finding Easter eggs and eating lots of candy from their baskets. I knew that they would not eat dinner very good with all the candy they ate but they did better than I thought.
Stephanie showed up with JJ and Joe so everyone could meet both of them. JJ has now gotten to 7 lbs. and 2 ozs. at 2 months old. Which is great since he was delivered at 31 weeks and 3 lbs. 10 ozs. on Friday February 13, 2009.
We are still planning on having the shower on the 18 at the club house for her. I hope some of her friends show up but I am not holding my breath.
I am planning on going and getting the party supplies either today or tomorrow. I just hope they have everything that I want and that I don't have to go looking around to find everything. I know that I will have to get some sign to direct people to the club house so they don't come to the house.
I finished my one of my swap things that I wanted to get done. I can't wait to send some things out. It is going to be fun swapping with other on Ravelry. I am signed up for 3 so far. An envelope swap, a $10 swap and a Favorite things swap. It will be lots of fun.

Spring Break

Yuck! I am not liking spring break so far. It has been too cold. I was hoping to get stuff done this week and spend time with the kids outside....but that was not to be. It has been too cold. It was supose to snow but we didn't get that. I wish we had it would have been something fun to do even if it is cold but no it is just cold and dreary. We went out to lunch with Grandma T today to McDonald's so that the kids could play on the toys when they were done with lunch. I forgot that it was David's Birthday today, he turned 60. We went over to David and Michelle's for cake and visited for a little. Here she is modeling for me the hands free beach bag I finished. I still have plenty of Incredible's left to do a couple more I just don't know how my hands are going to take it as it is kind of hard on the hand to work with. I think I will try something else to get a break.

Can't wait for Saturday!

I can't wait for Saturday I plan on taking some time to myself! I am hoping to go to Bigby and meet some other local knitters and talk about things I enjoy like knitting. I am planning on leaving the kids with the hubby and doing something by myself for once. I haven't really had any time to myself for a long time. I don't know who long I will stay as I have never met any of the people that go every week but I am looking forward to possibly making new friends. I am still working on charity knitting and have now gotten several I knit for. I knit baby blankets and hats for the NICU at Spectum Health, prayer shawls for the ACS Hope Lodge in Grand Rapids MI, squares for Warm Up America, Scarves and Hats for the homeless of Grand Rapids, and I also want to make blankets for the local Animal shelter. My mom gave me a E6000 knitting machine with the tapes and some parts and 3 trash bags of yarn. The only things wrong with it is that is has two broken wires. I had my father-in-law fix it and now I just have to get some time to learn how to use it as the manual is really long. I have found some sites that have information about it but it is now just about time. I hope to have many blankets made up after I get started on it as it can run automatically while I hand knit some things. I hope to be able to get started on it over Spring break which is only a week and a half away. Lets see if I can.
